Job summary

Our client’s Sales U.S. Service Provider team is looking for a Strategic Accounts Manager with experience selling high-tech offerings and services to join us remotely anywhere in the U.S. In this role, you will be a key part of our Field Sales team and work within the telecommunications (telco) industry vertical focused on increasing our client’s market share and revenue. You'll be responsible for building new relationships and expanding and improving business with existing customers, as well as all aspects of the sale, including pricing negotiations, contract development, and order fulfillment. As a Strategic Accounts Manager, you'll need to be comfortable working with partner sales, services teams, and IT and business executives, applying your extensive experience developing and implementing sales plans. Successful applicants must reside in a state where our client is registered to do business.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Sell our client's offerings and services in your assigned territory or industry
  • Meet quantitative and qualitative performance goals 
  • Effectively communicate and present key messages and our client's value proposition 
  • Create strategic and tactical sales plans and guide the extended Sales team in implementing them to maximize revenue and growth
  •  Meet assigned sales quotas by acquiring new customer business and renewing and growing existing relationships 
  • Call on prospective customers, providing technical and administrative information, demonstrations, and price quotes for our offerings
  •  Accurately forecast and close sales in alignment with company goals 
Required skills

 

 

  • 10+ years of sales management experience with a demonstrated record of success, preferably in the software or IT industry
  •  Experience selling directly to the Tier 1 or Tier 2 service provider 
  • Experience selling with different types of partners, whether they are value-added resellers (VARs), system integrators, network equipment providers (NEPs), or independent software vendors (ISVs) 
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering or business; MBA is a plus
  •  Complex solutions sales experience in order to deal with multiple offerings and services 
  • Solid understanding of the complete sales cycle management from prospecting to closing, account planning, relationship management, sales operations (forecasting), etc.
  •  Ability to work as part of a fast-paced team while demonstrating flexibility, reliability, and initiative 
  • Excellent communication skills
  •  Solutions sales experience with our client or equivalent technologies like cloud, virtualization, middleware, and emerging technologies is a plus
