Job Description

The Role: The Trading Applications group is an established front office team, which handles the pre and post trading needs of the firm. Successful candidates will be responsible for developing, extending, monitoring, configuring, and troubleshooting a complex and distributed trading platform. Responsibilities (include, but not limited to the following):
 
  • Develop and extend software tools which automate, analyze, and monitor business processes
  • Provide support for the real-time trading system. Manage and improve operational infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot critical production issues, identifying and patching bugs and inefficiencies
  • Handle configuration, testing, installation, monitoring of trading applications and back end processes of a complex trading platform
  • Handle numerous requests sent by users, follow-up with users, and work with other groups on resolving issues
  • Analyze and optimize latencies
  • Participate in all facets of a project’s life cycle from design, implementation, testing, documentation and deployment, with a focus on deployment and production support
  • Help design and develop real-time, low latency software components
  • Coordinate with other technology groups around releases and upgrades
  • Interact with developers, quants, traders, and remote support staff
 
What You’ll Bring:
 
  • Degree in a quantitative or technical discipline from a top university
  • Demonstrated experience using C++; scripting languages
  • Experience maintaining and supporting trading systems is preferred but not required
  • Strong software debugging abilities; Experience in querying large databases using SQL
  • Ability to identify the source of problems and come up with creative solutions
  • Mature and thoughtful, with the ability to operate within a collaborative, team-oriented culture
  • Hard working and eager to learn in a highly intellectual, innovative environment
  • Organized, detail-oriented; able to multi-task and keep track of various deadline
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
