Job Description

This position requires strong organizational, technical, and communications skills. The ideal candidate must have at least 10+ years of hands on experience as a Senior Windows Administrator for a trading firm. The role requires extensive experience with implementing cloud services revolving the Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services stacks. The candidate must have engineered, setup, and configured hybrid environments for Office 365 applications like Teams, Hyper-V, Azure AD Connect, ADFS, or have experience with other 3rd party cloud providers like IBM Maas 360, OKTA for single sign-on,.  The candidate may also make recommendations for better platforms or applications to replace existing ones.  Experience with services like IIS, and Certificate Services is necessary. Additionally, he or she must work well in a dynamic fast pace environment while demonstrating strong interest in emerging tools and technologies within the trading industry.

Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Provide recommendations for architectural direction and roadmaps
  • Identify architecture and infrastructure issues and develop solutions
  • Ability to automate daily tasks with PowerShell, Visual Basic, or Java Scripting
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and priorities based on workload with minimum supervision
    Creative at finding solutions
  • Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, must be able to see the big picture

  • HP and Cisco UCS Intel Servers, EMC / Pure Enterprise Storage

 

Software

  • Microsoft Windows 2003, 2008, 2012, 2012 R2, 2016
  • Hyper-V, VMWare, Clustering, Certificate Services, Single Sign-on solutions
  • Microsoft IIS
  • Mobile Device Management via cloud platforms
  • Windows patch management

 

Required Technical Skills (10-15 years experience required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar area
  • MCSE Certification Required
  • Experience with managing Windows servers, Active Directory, Certificate Services, Hyper-V
  • Hands on experience using high availability clustering, hardware load balancing
  • Prior hands on experience designing multi-tiered architecture
  • Planning, installing, and administration of Windows Server 20xx complex LAN environments
  • Experience managing TCP/IP services like DHCP, DNS, and Cisco ASA
  • Experience deploying and managing security and patch management systems
