The Sr Staff Cyber Security Engineer will be an integral part of our Digital cyber operations and compliance functions, exercising a broad knowledge of IT, software development , security methodologies, cloud technology, and operational support processes. The candidate will be responsible for controls implementation, sustainment and security posture for features of cloud security products including compute, network, storage, analytics, monitoring, mobile, identity & access and others


  • Assist in designing and engineering cyber security platforms and services with a specific focus on cloud technologies.
  • Take action to ensure remediation of various cyber security vulnerabilities, hygiene defects, issues and incidents.
  • Participate in tactical task force teams to address high impact / high risk reduction activity 
  • Work with members from the user community, application owners, engineering, and operations to develop, test, and release new capabilities and features.
  • Prioritize competing requests across multiple applications while maintaining focus on solving highest priority and highest business impact issues first. 
  • Passionate for continuous learning, experimenting and applying cutting edge technology and software paradigms.
  • Pursue and resolve complex or uncharted technical problems and share key leanings.
  • Qualifications:

    Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
  • A minimum of 8 years of total technical experience along with established leadership credentials across disciplines and functions OR Master's degree with 6 years of experience

    Eligibility Requirements: 

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job


  • Strong written, verbal, analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to speak confidently when dealing with internal constituents 
  • Process oriented, capable of documenting guidelines, policies and procedures within work area 
  • Experience in working with Agile methodologies
  • Experience working directly with Cloud providers/infrastructure (AWS, Azure, CGP, etc.), operating systems (Window/Linux) and orchestration tools (Chef, puppet)
  • Experience with cloud security features such as AWS GuardDuty, Azure Security Center, etc. 
  • Experience in scripting languages such as Powershell, VBscript, batch, Bash, Python, Ruby, AWS CLI
  • Working knowledge of markup languages such as XML, HTML, JSON
  • Working knowledge of database and data integration methods using Microsoft SQL, MySQL, HQL, and Splunk
  • Working knowledge of how authentication, authorization and access management systems function
  • Working knowledge and understanding of how the IT system event log functions
  • Ability to clearly articulate technical concepts/issues to both technical and non-technical peers and management 
  • Knowledge of recognized IT Security-related standards and technologies, e.g., NIST 800-53, ISO 27000
  • Must be able to work out of an office in Cincinnati, OH
