Job Description

Our client's Digital Products team encompasses world class video streaming web apps, mobile apps (iPhone, iPad, Android), and television apps (Apple TV, Google TV, Roku, and Chromecast). Our software development teams are actively improving our existing streaming technology, while at the same time creating the next generation of apps and services.  As a key part of our team, Program Managers (PM) are responsible for managing projects and releases that support consumer-facing web properties, cloud services, and new technology initiatives.

Our Digital Products team is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager for our Security practice, to help ensure that our end to end service and systems are up to security standards. The ideal candidate will have experience implementing and maintaining a secure infrastructure for large scale customer facing distributed systems. As a Security TPM, you will know how to make the rational and thoughtful trade offs required in order to best secure customer data, distributed services, and  assets.

 

As the primary strategic advocate and evangelist for a variety of security initiatives, in this role you will help Digital Products to design with security in mind. You will bring your experience leading application and system security programs to work together with our client and platform teams to apply industry best practices to DP's systems and architecture  This position will provide you with a challenging opportunity to define and drive fundamental security outcomes for everything underlying the global business, from tangible hardware devices to operational procedures.

 

A Senior Technical Program Manager is expected to understand the systems in their program space, the limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions, and reasons behind architectural decisions. They are expected to seek out and clearly communicate relevant data to support complex business decisions and drive the right recommendations in a compelling and effective way. They create plans that have objective, measurable success criteria and clearly communicate progress and outcomes. They anticipate the gaps between teams, processes, and system architectures to help the organization reduce exposure to classic failure modes.

 

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS:

 

 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Technical Program Management, driving engineering projects from concept to delivery.
  • 5 years in two or more of the following technical categories:
    • Security architecture and risk mitigation for enterprise networks or data center environments
    • Cloud/Enterprise IT administration (configuration, patching, deployment, change management)
    • Data center ops
    • Network security
  • Experience with PII/ PCI compliance
  • Apply security expertise in deeply technical discussions, keeping all stakeholders productively engaged
  • Ability to take security related issues, and describe the risk they pose to the business.
  • Directly represent our organization to business leaders and technical staff at all levels of the company
  • Create problem statements and move from those to appropriate and data driven proposals, recommendations, and solutions. Then drive alignment across all stakeholders.
  • Work with cross-functional team leadership to establish goals and milestones that align with our design requirements and also account for development team dependencies.
  • Discover and articulate technical requirements and dependencies on external development teams as deliverables change. These could include changes to APIs, interfaces, or the behavior of services or client devices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with all levels of technical and non-technical staff.
  • Able to establish goals and set clear expectations, prioritize activities, and follow through to completion. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including negotiation and problem resolution in a cross-functional team.
  • Able to drive the definition of project scope, develop detailed project plans, and facilitate the collection of engineering, operational, and business requirements.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Able to function effectively and consistently when faced with frequently changing and sometimes ambiguous goals.


SECONDARY REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Relevant industry certifications (CSCP, CISSP, SANS/GIAC, CompTIA, Etc.)
  • Experience with fraud and risk management solutions
  • Media or entertainment industry experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Windows, Linux, and hypervisor security (especially in cloud environments)
  • Experience managing Java, JavaScript, iOS, and Android projects.
  • Ability to learn new development tools and productivity tools in order to continuously improve effectiveness.
  • Bachelor's Degree or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred; software development experience is a plus.
